Beliefs and Statement

Adventist Church's fundamental beliefs center on the Bible

The Seventh-day Adventist Church's fundamental beliefs center on the Bible as the sole source of truth and emphasize the Trinity, Jesus Christ's divinity and role in salvation, and the importance of the Sabbath, among other doctrines. They also believe in God's recent, literal six-day creation of the universe, the importance of the sanctuary and investigative judgment, and the soon return of Jesus Christ.

The Trinity

Belief in one God, composed of three co-eternal persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.

The Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the sole rule of faith and practice.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the divine Son of God, the Savior, who lived a sinless life, died for humanity's sins, and will return to Earth.

Creation

God created the universe in six literal days and rested on the seventh day, the Sabbath.

Salvation

Salvation is achieved through faith in Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice and grace, not through works.

The Sanctuary

Belief in a heavenly sanctuary where Christ ministers as high priest on behalf of humanity

The Investigative Judgment

A pre-advent judgment where God examines the lives of believers before Christ's second coming.

The Second Coming

Jesus Christ will return to Earth in power and glory to establish His eternal kingdom.

Nature of Humanity

Humans are created in God's image, but sin has marred that image, and they are in need of redemption.

God's Law

God's law, including the Ten Commandments, is a reflection of His character and a guide for believers.

Spiritual Gifts

The Holy Spirit empowers believers with spiritual gifts for service and ministry.

Last Days Events

The Seventh-day Adventist Church believes in a literal battle between good and evil, culminating in the final victory of God.
